AIG WOMEN'S OPEN

August 3, 2025

Lottie Woad

Rest Bay, Porthcawl, Wales, UK

Mixed Zone

Q. Lottie, tell us about the week.

LOTTIE WOAD: It was pretty good overall. Played solid. Probably hit it better over the weekend, just didn't really hole too many putts. But top 10, you can't complain too much. Overall a good week.

Q. Was it easy to deal with the expectations after winning, coming here? Did it affect you at all?

LOTTIE WOAD: I don't think it affected my golf, but it was definitely a lot more attention, a lot more eyes on me. I feel like I handled it pretty well overall and was just sticking to my game, just trying to focus on the prep really and not let it distract me too much.

Q. We talked a little bit about this being a fast process. It looks like you're fitting in quickly. Do you feel like completely comfortable where you are in the middle of the best players?

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, I think so. I played -- even before the majors, played as an amateur. Got to play with the likes of people I was playing with this week. So had that experience and kind of knowing I could play well against them and beat them. It's just a nice confidence booster.

Q. Tough weather conditions out there today. How did you feel with that?

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, definitely tough. I'm happy to shoot under par. It's quite hard to get it close with the wind. So you had to see if you could hole some putts, which didn't really do. Took the numbers out of play and hit a lot of greens. That's all you can really do. You've just got to try to limit the mistakes really in this wind.

Q. Definitely. What was it like playing with Minjee as well some?

LOTTIE WOAD: Yeah, it was great. We were both playing pretty solid for most of the day. I think it's easier when it's like that because if you get something bad going around this course in the wind, both of you, it can be a challenging day.

Q. The crowds, there was a good number of people out there. Did it spur you on? How was that experience?

LOTTIE WOAD: It was great. Just walking out from the 1st tee, I got a loud cheer, and I could tell everyone was rooting for me. That was nice. I've got my family and friends and some people from my club here. It's been great.

Q. What's next for you now? Where are you playing?

LOTTIE WOAD: I'm not sure. I was going to kind of look at the schedule after this event. So going to work that out.
